McKnight Artist Fellowships for Screenwriters
IFP
Minneapolis/Saint Paul is pleased to announce the 2005 McKnight
Artist Fellowships for Screenwriters, made possible through the
generous support of the McKnight Foundation. These fellowships recognize
Minnesota artists for accomplishments in writing for the screen
as demonstrated by one completed feature screenplay. The intent
of this program is to acknowledge the accomplishments of Minnesota
screenwriters by providing financial assistance, professional encouragement
and recognition.
DEADLINE:
Applications accepted beginning on January 18, 2005.
Application must be postmarked or received by 4:00pm, Friday, February
4, 2005 at:

AWARDS:
2005 Finalists announced in May 2005, and winning
Fellows announced in June 2005.
Artists
may apply to only one of The McKnight Foundation Fellowships programs
per year. Applicants for the McKnight Screenwriting Fellowship may
not also apply to MAFF in the same year, as was allowed with the
previous Minnesota Independent Film Fund.

Artist Fellowships for Filmmakers
IFP Minneapolis/Saint
Paul is pleased to announce the 2005 McKnight Artist Fellowships
for Filmmakers (MAFF), made possible through the generous support
of the McKnight Foundation.. The purpose of MAFF is to honor the
professional and artistic accomplishments of Minnesota artists working
in the medium of film/video, as demonstrated by two examples of
completed original works in any of the genres and formats of narrative,
documentary, experimental, or animation, in feature or short lengths.
DEADLINE:
Applications accepted beginning on February 14, 2005.

Paul is proud to Announce the recipients of its 2004 IFP MSP Access
Grants for Film, Video, and Photography. The artists awarded are:
E.G.
Bailey: "Cry About A Nickle", a short film that
looks at the relationship between a father, a son, and an African
American drifter looking for work.
Jillian
Lee Brown: "Nordeast:Arriving and Changing",
a series of photographs documenting the changing population of Northeast
Minneapolis.
Sherine
Crooms: "We Girls Grew Up", a documentary looking
at black women growing up in the absence of their fathers.
Linae
Enockson and Brendan Toblaski: "Westward Ho!: 50 Black
and White Images of Our Abandoned Past in Burleigh County, ND".
Ron
Johnson: "Draft Day", a short film about a fantasy
football enthusiast who will go to any length to get his star player
to perform.
Ingrid
Radio: Untitled project incorporating photographs of "older
women committed to the life of the church and it's traditions".
Juliah
Rueckert: "Confessions of a Former Beauty Prince",
a short film about a man who tries to reclaim his childhood beauty
pagent glory.

Takata: "After Dusk, Before Dawn", a photographic
study of the city and it's people at night.

Weaver: "Things My Mother Never Told Me", revealing
the hidden side of breast feeding.

White: "Tiny Explosions", a twenty minute musical
about bicycle renegades.
